Not Sure

I have to look at it yet, so I don’t know for sure. But I think my old laptop…which wasn’t that old…might have crashed for good. I got my new one in February and gave my old one, which turned 3 in June/July 2010, to my youngest daughter. I have had to do a complete factory reset on it twice since I gave it to her for various reasons. And now it’s not booting up correctly. Again I do not really know what the deal is because I have not really looked at it.

I am not really mad… more bummed out. If it was just a fluke and it went off to PC heaven then of course I can’t be upset with Nikki. Ugh! I am just so … so… I don’t know how to describe it really .. the closet explanation to how I am feeling is …I am just bummed.

iPhone4 rocks!!!

Yeah, iPhone 4 is so fricken awesome!!!! I have wanted an iPhone for a very long time. I was very envious of people I knew who had them. So hubby and I decided now was a great time. If I was gonna spend big money on a phone again I was gonna be picky.

And I finally got my new phone in today. As a matter of fact I am making this post from it. We ordered on the 22nd and I figured we’d be waiting forever before we’d actually received them. After reading the message boards I was convinced I’d turn 100 before I’d get one of these phones. I am glad to see I was very wrong. 6 days is all it took, from ordering to delivery.

I have been playing with it for a few hours now and I love it! I was a bit worried about the touch screen typing. After all I had a slider phone (an android phone- G1 from T-Mobile) and I thought I might be unhappy with trying to type. I practiced on my iPod touch but still was mildly concerned. I figured I might just be much slower doing testing, lol. So you can imagine my delight to discover that I actually type better and faster on this the I ever did on my G1.

I have to admit I think I might miss T-Mobile a bit. As a company they really weren’t bad. We had great coverage here and the price of the plans wasn’t so high either. But what really ticked Rick an I off, was the fact that after only a year our phones were forgotten. We were promised the updated android software for my G1 and hubby’s MyTouch. And those promises were empty bullshit. Both of our phones were only running version 1.6. My husband’s phone is just a year old and mine was not quite 2 years old. We got tired of waiting. Between those 2 phone we spent around 600 bucks. And It seems like such a waste of money now. So, we bought these and switched to AT&T.

Now AT&T doesn’t offer unlimited data anymore, so I might miss that for sure. But otherwise the plan cost are not much different. AT&T is a bit more expensive, but to me even without unlimited data, it is so worth it.

I was always a fan of Apple, even though I am a PC person. They’ve done a great job with this newest member of their technology family. At least that’s how I feel about it. It certainly money well spent to me!

WaaaaHoooo!

It’s been ordered!! I am so happy that I could run through the streets naked….err…ummm… not that I am going to. I wouldn’t want to traumatize the neighborhood like that. :: snicker ::: but I am still very very happy. I am finally going to have an iPhone. An iPhone4 too. Woot Woot!!! I have to wait of course for it to ship… and it is on back order. But it’s no longer a fantasy. I will have my dream phone, lol.

iDream of iPhone 4

I love the new iPhone! It’s sleek and sexy and yet it is filled with cool features. Rick and I are switching to AT&T soon and we are both getting one. And let me tell you I feel like I am 6 years old waiting for Santa to arrive so I can open my presents, lol. I know it is silly to get so hyped up over a phone but I can’t help it, lol.

I first fell in love with Apple when I got my first iPod and then when I got my iPod touch I was hooked. That little gadget can do SO many things. My only complaint is that once I get away from a Wifi connection some of my favorite apps won’t work. So once I get the new iPhone that will no longer be a problem. hehehe.

I’m filled with joy!

Blowing Our Wad! ( Or otherwise intitled I am spoiled!)

So tonight my husband spent 3100 dollars and he bought a jeep! It’s a great looking vehicle. and it runs great. We originally thought it was going to be 3800 dollars. So since it was much less than that… my husband bought me a new laptop!! Woot woot. Ohh and I got a new video camera too!! (Although that wasn’t a planned thing, lol.)

So we spent a lot of money…lol. And I am very spoiled, lol.

It’s All About The Porn

Ashley applied for credit at Bestbuy today because she REALLY wanted to buy laptop. She got lucky and was approved. She got herself a nice laptop and is very excited about having it. But the funniest thing EVER… the first thing she said, “Cool, now I can surf porn!”

::: Shaking my head ::: I stil have to claim her though, lol.

Blowing Crap Up!

My husband is blowing up computers around here. As we’re watching a movie all of the sudden we hear…. POP!!!!! and I was all… what was that?! And he goes… “Something in my computer just blew up.” So he takes it all apart.. connects other stuff… turns is back on and what happens but another… POP!!!!

Guess that power supply is really dead now….

You Could Probably Say I’m Spoiled….

So I told Rick I was envious/jealous that both Dani and Ashley now had iPod touch’s. I mean once Ashley got her’s for Christmas from Caleb I really got a chance to look at one and check it out… and OMG! They’re so cool!! Much much cooler them my trusty iPod Video, which had been at my side for… 3 years now?

What draws me to the touch? Well let’s see.

1. The music of course. I felt the same draw to my iPod Video. I love having my music with me. It makes train rides, car rides, library time…and just lounging at home time so much more fun.
2. E-READER!!!!! I love this little program so very much. Lynn turned me on to Fictionwise and E-reader some time ago. It makes reading these days so much more convenient for me. Because of the shifts that I work, sitting down with a book in hand, is often not an option. But E-reader lets me take my digital version with me. Before that only meant on my laptop. Which is still nice, but then I discovered that that iPod Touch can have that program too!!
3. Honestly… those first two things I just wrote sold me on the itouch. I was hooked with those options alone. But this little unit can do Oh-So much more!! I have a bunch of games on it I can play, and I surf the web, text email and IM friends… it’s just a cool little gadget!!

New Toys!!

I purchased a new cellphone. After months and months of being undecided I found one that I liked enough to buy. I am so picky, lol. And yet I am not really. I just can’t talk myself into spending large sums of money without being absolutely sure that I want what I am buying.

I finally decided on T-mobiles G1. And I LOVE it!!! The new Android OS on it is awesome. It runs super well. I am now very addicted, hehe. I wanted a messaging phone and this one is perfect. The Touch screen is so awesome… it’s my first time with this feature on a phone. The texting and IM’in on this phone is flawless. And the dialer interface works so smoothly. I love the voice dialing too. And the Internet on it runs great too. I love how I can adjust the size of the browser screen too. It’s a real browser too… with pictures, links, and all. Unlike The Sidekick and Blackberry browsers.

I Need Liquid Cooling

I think my video cards are overheating again… already. Ugh! This case sucks for air flow and cooling. I moved my whole pc setup around to try and help with the cooling situation. It means have my monster case up on a table instead of under my desk… but if it helps I’ll deal with it then. Let’s hope it works for awhile at least…and I’ll add… A new case and liquid cooling to my wish list. Bah!
